The great Vigtig 2.0 got its name by a funny coincidence. When trying to pronounce the German word "wichtig", the renowned American knifemaker and designer of this knife, Dave Wenger, came up with the word "Vigtig". And what can you say when a slip of the tongue always results in such an ingenious knife from his pen? Then please keep on talking Denglish, dear Dave.
The solid backup knife was manufactured in full tang construction and fitted with contoured handle scales made of robust brown Micarta. The Micarta lies comfortably in the hand and offers an exceptionally good feel, whether chopping, cutting or carving. But the handles not only offer a firm grip, they also add a touch of aesthetics.
This uncompromising Vigtig 2.0 was inspired by the successful Mini Tracker and is designed to withstand even the most demanding conditions. Yes, you're right, the Vigtig has been around before: the whole thing has been given a little more stability by replacing the brass hollow rivets with silver, screwed hollow rivets. Not only a visual plus point, but also functional.
The 9 cm long drop-point blade made of high-quality 1095 steel has a Scandi grind that is easy to cut and a PVD coating with a two-tone look (the upper part has been coated and the high grind has been left as it is).
The Vigtig 2.0 is perfectly complemented by a precisely fitting Kydex sheath and can be easily attached using the belt adapter. Safe storage and easy access to your knife are therefore guaranteed. You always have to be ready, because there may be cake, and we all know how important a knife is then.
