Use:
The fascination of the Balisong lies not only in its functionality as a knife, but also in the art of flipping, in which skillful movements turn the opening and closing of the knife into an impressive choreography. It requires skill and practice to execute the movements smoothly and precisely. The Antarctic is a high-quality Balisong trainer and meets all legal requirements. Completely legal and compliant with the German Weapons Act, as there is no pronounced point or edge.
Material:
The Antarctic impresses with a 12.2 cm long hardened trainer blade made of 440C steel and sandwich handles made of high-quality 6061 aluminum with a length of 14.3 cm. The blade edges are all neatly rounded and the blade has cleverly placed recesses. This means that the high-quality trainer fits perfectly in the hand and has an excellent weight. With a total weight of 118 g, this modern balisong trainer is really something to hold.
How it works:
The way a balisong, also known as a butterfly knife, works is based on a hinged handle design with a blade fixed in the middle.
Closed position:
In the closed position, both handle scales lie flat and the blade is folded between them. The locking mechanism holds the handle scales securely together in this position.
Opening the Balisong:
To open the knife, the locking mechanism is released and the handle scales can be swung apart. During opening, the blade is exposed by the rotation of the handle scales and snaps into the open position.
Open position:
In the open position, the blade points outwards while the two handle scales are on either side. The blade is firmly anchored between the handle scales and ready for use.
Closing the Balisong:
To close the knife, the handle scales are swung back together. During closing, the blade is folded between the handle scales and securely fixed in the closed position.
With the great GLIDR Antarctic 2 Rhino Grey, you can show what you're made of and train your skills legally and worry-free. This version with tone-on-tone design and high-quality dark coating is not only a feast for the eyes, but also an absolute eye-catcher among knife enthusiasts. Be ready to turn heads and master the art of balisong flipping with elegance and finesse! Don't wait too long, because quantities are limited!

Welcome to Glidr, the renowned producer of high quality balisong trainers from Australia! Founded out of pure passion for the art of flipping, Glidr is determined to produce the best balisong trainers and set the highest quality standards. In Australia, conventional balisong knives are not permitted due to legal regulations. Glidr has therefore set itself the goal of developing the highest quality balisong trainers and is particularly characterised by a balanced price-performance ratio compared to more expensive balisongs on the market.
With a loyal fan base, Glidr has firmly established itself in the balisong flipping scene. The Australian think tank continues to surprise with innovative ideas and products that inspire the flipping community. The proximity to the fans is also reflected in the freely available 3D printables on the Glidr homepage, which actively support the community. GLIDR Balisongs are designed exclusively for training, with blunt metal parts that simulate the weight of a real blade. They can't be sharpened, but the quality speaks for itself - they're some of the best trainers we've ever seen.
