Deeply rooted in the wild beauty of northern Finland, where dense forests, quiet moors, and clear lakes shape the landscape, the name Marttiini has stood for genuine Finnish craftsmanship since 1928. The Marttiini Hiilileuku 240 Carbon is an outdoor knife that embodies this tradition in its purest form. It is not just a tool – it is a piece of Finnish culture, a reliable companion for hunters, bushcrafters, and nature lovers around the world.
The Marttiini knife is equipped with a 13 cm long, strong carbon steel blade – deliberately not stainless, but with excellent cutting performance and easy to resharpen. The dark forged skin on the upper part of the blade contrasts strikingly with the brightly polished cutting edge. This two-tone finish gives the knife an original, almost archaic look – perfect for adventurers who are looking for the real thing.
The handle is made of finely grained burl birch, whose light, natural structure makes each knife unique. Surrounded by elegant brass elements, the knife lies securely and balanced in the hand – a prime example of ergonomic design with a stylish touch. For additional protection, the handle is coated with a wax-like sealant that protects against moisture and dirt.
As if that weren't enough, Marttiini supplies the knife with an elegant, light-colored leather sheath that is as robust as it is visually appealing. Thanks to a belt loop, the Marttiini outdoor knife is always within reach – whether in the forest, camping, or hunting.
The Hiilileuku 240 Carbon is a true Marttiini outdoor experience: uncompromisingly functional, beautifully crafted, and deeply rooted in Finnish craftsmanship. Anyone looking to buy a Marttiini knife will find a piece of Scandinavian soul in this model.

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
