The Lynx is a classic Finnish knife and exudes a rustic charm through its naturally left materials. The blade has a length of 11 cm and is suitable for many different applications with a straight-back shape. It is made of non-stainless carbon steel, which makes it very sharp without much effort when sharpening and also keeps this sharpness for a long time. However, it does require a little more care and some oil after use to prevent corrosion. On the upper part of the blade, the surface has been left untreated for a nice color accent. The handle is made of burl birch and has a distinctive grain, which emphasizes the noble appearance of the knife. To increase weather resistance, the handle has been sealed with a layer of clear lacquer to prevent water or dirt from being absorbed by the wood fibers. Part of the scope of delivery is a neatly finished leather sheath that transports the Lynx safely.

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
