Buck Langford Test Report

Hi dear knife community,
I'm Ben and I work at your favourite shop Messerworld in Berlin. As a trained e-commerce merchant, I take care of all the content on our beautiful site and also send out your purchased goods to you. So I'm also busy packing and unpacking goods. A rather difficult task without the right tools.

So of course I had to get a fancy knife. Of course, the wallet of an apprentice is limited and so are my choices for my EDC. Ideally, of course, it should not be too heavy, fit easily into a trouser pocket and be operable with one hand. After all, I don't want to have to open my folding knife with two hands for every package.

As if by chance, I noticed a real beauty for good money while cleaning out the display cases: The Buck Langford Black!

The milled G10 handle scales look quite cool in plain black and feel really nice in the hand. But I have to say that I especially like the thumb rest on the back of the blade. It raises the handling to a great level.

An absolute highlight is the ball-bearing blade, which can be opened via the flipper. It doesn't take much force to lift the blade out of the handle. The blade action is as smooth as butter!

The liner lock is simply classic and reliable. Despite the price, the workmanship is impressive all round.

I also love the pocket clip. No wobbling, no falling off, no loosening, just does what it should!

Let's move on to the blade: it is a full 8.6 cm long and is suitable for everything I have in front of me every day in the office. The steel used here is 7Cr. This is considered budget steel and of course cannot be compared with D2, Böhler N690 or M390.
Nevertheless, it is perfectly adequate for me. After all, the high chrome content in the knife ensures optimal corrosion resistance and the molybdenum provides decent stability. The blade is nice and sharp and stays that way for several weeks. And if the blade has become dull from all the cutting, it can be resharpened surprisingly well, even for a layman.

All in all, all I can say about the Buck Langford is that it's a great piece of equipment with a great price-performance ratio! I am satisfied and I hope you will be too!
