Whether you're standing on the shore of a quiet lake in Finland or tackling your catch in your kitchen at home, with the kitchen-friendly Marttiini Basic 15 filleting knife, you're on the safe side when it comes to filleting. Simple in appearance, uncompromising in performance: the 15 cm long, flexible stainless steel blade glides effortlessly through fish as if it had never done anything else. And all this at a price that is at least as sharp as the blade itself.
The ergonomically shaped handle made of textured black rubber fits securely in your hand – even when it gets wet. Non-slip and robust, that's the order of the day here. With a total length of 27 cm, the knife strikes the perfect balance between control and reach. Exactly what you need when precision is key when filleting.
Typical Marttiini Finland: practical, functional, well thought-out. No frills, just genuine craftsmanship. And to ensure you can transport your new favorite tool safely, a matching plastic sheath is included. Just slip it in, head out, and start filleting – good tools can be that simple.
So, whether you're a professional on the water or an after-work angler, if you want a genuine Marttiini filleting knife that not only looks good but also delivers, you've come to the right place. Finnish. Functional. Fillet-ready. Period. Now all you have to do is catch the fish, but unfortunately the knife can't help you with that.

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
