When the fish bites, it's your moment – and the Marttiini Basic 19 filleting knife's moment too. After all, what good is the catch of a lifetime if you ruin it with a blunt bread knife? Exactly. That's why you should go straight for the professional tool from the far north. This Finnish filleting knife is not only as sharp as the humor on a polar night, but also as reliable as a reindeer in a snowstorm.
The 19 cm long, flexible stainless steel blade makes short work of salmon, zander, and other fish—without any drama. Fish weighing 2–3 kilos? No problem for the Marttiini filleting knife: into the kitchen, onto the board, and down into fine fillets. Period. Thanks to its textured rubber handle, the 31 cm long tool fits so well in your hand that you'll almost forget you're supposed to be working.
And if you don't have any fish on the hook, no problem. The Marttiini fishing knife is also perfectly at home in other kitchen tasks. Vegetables? Meat? No problem – as long as you can cut it.
The knife comes in a practical plastic sheath so you can store it safely when not in use. Only the dishwasher isn't too fond of this fine piece – Marttiini recommends washing it by hand. After all, this isn't just any old knife, but genuine Finnish craftsmanship.
In short: sharp, smart, Scandinavian. Your new fishing buddy is waiting – so get out there and catch some fish!

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
