Product information "Lapinleuku 240"

Lapland or Finnish knives, as they are also called, are among the most popular knives of the northern regions of this earth. Marttiini knives are used as outdoor knives, driving knives, camping and hunting knives. Just as they make chips for the campfire or cut even frozen reindeer meat - they are knives for the wilderness. Lapland knives are popular tools among scouts. When camping far from the road, where there are no people far and wide. Then it is already important to have a tool that you can rely on. The Marttiini Lapp 240 knife has a 13 cm long, decorated stainless steel blade. The large birch wood handle has polished brass fittings and a finger recess for a better grip. A natural leather quiver with integrated piercing guard is used to transport the driving knife.

Supplier "Marttiini"

The Finnish knife maker Marttiini is known for its high-quality hunting and fishing knives. Founder Janne Marttiinni began producing handmade knives, scythes and axes in the rural village of Kierinki in northern Finland in 1902. In 1928, he opened his own forge in Rovaniemi, where he produced a wide range of sturdy and well-crafted knives. Demand quickly grew. In 1940, Marttiini built his first factory, which was partially destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. After the war, the factory was rebuilt in the center of Rovaniemie. Today, the factory shop is located on the site and is called “Marttiini's Old Factory”. Due to the many different knife models and the constant growth, a new, modern production facility was built in 1972, where the knives are still manufactured today. More than 300 different models are still produced by hand using traditional methods and are constantly being improved. Outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, chefs and many other professional users appreciate the outstanding quality of Marttiini knives and always have them with them as a loyal companion.
