For the 2023 annual knife, Böker is working with Ricardo Romano Bernandes for the first time. The Brazilian-born knifemaker has been working in the field of knife making and sharpening since 1990. His design is based on the traditional pen knives and inspired Böker right away. For the modern take on the shape of the knife, Böker decided to use powder-metallurgical Damasteel steel in the "Odin Eye" look. Despite the modern and technical production of the steel, the highest precision and skill is required, just as in hand forging. Here, the best properties of the steel can be optimised to the highest degree in complex processes. The grey/blue G10 handle scales contrast strongly with the rest of the knife.
