Product information "Santoku gehämmert Mahagoni VG-1 Core"

We've all been there: you've bought a cheap set of knives, had fun for a short time and now you feel like you've accidentally grabbed a spoon when cutting. Cooking like this is no fun and frustration quickly sets in. But what can you do? We recommend taking a look at the Santoku KC-942 chef's knife from Kanetsune. With a favourable price-performance ratio, this chic kitchen knife will faithfully assist you with everyday tasks. The special feature of this Japanese chef's knife is the VG-1 steel core, which ensures a long-lasting edge retention and also impresses in terms of toughness. This core is encased in 2 layers of SUS410 stainless steel, which is also robust. The 16.5 cm long blade is ideal for preparing all kinds of vegetables, meat and fish. Particularly striking is the chic "Tsuchime" blade finish of the Santoku knife, also known as the hammered finish. This not only brings this mysterious and noble Japanese charm, it also has a very functional use. Especially when slicing cheese and other sticky ingredients, the sliced product tends to get stuck on the blade, which doesn't happen with the KC-942! Plywood is used for the handle, which is riveted to the blade and finished with a beautiful mahogany varnish. The knife is manufactured directly in the blade city of Seki in Japan.
