With the Elk Hunter Special Magnum brings out an inexpensive combination of hunting knife and outdoor knife. The 11 cm long blade has the optimal length and is made of 440A steel. The drop point blade is a full 3.8 mm thick and comes with a pronounced flat edge. A smooth transition from the ebony hand guard to the rosewood handle scales can be seen quite clearly. In full tang construction, the knife is decently sturdy and offers enough gripping surface due to the overall length of 22 cm. The leather strap in the lanyard loop at the end of the handle offers an alternative carrying option in addition to the included leather sheath.
The brand name "Magnum" was created by the Böker company back in the 1980s in order to be able to offer less expensive knives separately from the original line. The production of the pocket and outdoor knives is realised exclusively in the Far East. A real highlight in the Magnum series are the collector's knives in limited editions, which are usually reserved unseen by our customers a year in advance.
