Za-Pas is an up-and-coming company from Poland that began its journey in knife production a few years ago. What initially began as a hobby slowly developed into a permanent profession. The origins lay in the production of kitchen knives, which still form an important part of the product range today. They are possibly the only knifemakers in Poland to have invested in professional knife sharpening machines, tools and other equipment in order to set up their own knife factory.
The first knives to be produced entirely in their own factories were the Za-Pas knives. The aim of the entire team is to produce knives of the highest quality in Poland again after a "break" of more than 40 years. The story of Za-Pas is one of continuous growth and development, led by Daniel, the founder of the company.
The journey began in a home garage with DIY projects inspired by YouTube videos such as "How to Make a Knife". The year 2016 marked the beginning of this journey that led Daniel to turn his hobby into a profession. From one order to the next, the company developed steadily until the opening of an online shop became inevitable to meet the growing customer demand. The team includes Janek, an experienced knifemaker and accountant, and Szymon, a specialist in the field of electrical and electronic engineering, who contributes his knowledge and skills to the development of the knives. Together, this small but dedicated team forms the heart of Za-Pas. Their passion for quality and innovation drives them to continue producing knives of outstanding quality and to revive the tradition of Polish knifemaking.
