The Tirpitz Damascus steel used is forged from the remains of the famous Bismarck's sibling ship, which sank off the coast of Norway during World War II. A Norwegian company immediately set about salvaging the wreck at the end of the war and making the steel available to the civilian population. The Böker Damascus Forge used exactly this steel to produce a 300-layer Damascus steel, steeped in history, in the " Large Pyramid " pattern, which is extremely sharp and corrosion resistant.
