Product information "Shun Classic White Santoku 18 cm"

Anyone who knows the knife brand KAI from Japan will appreciate a good chef's knife in the kitchen. The most popular chef's knife series "Shun Classic", which impresses with traditionally handcrafted kitchen knives with chic Damascus patterns, is particularly worth a look.

Selected models have now been relaunched in the "Shun Classic White" series, which appeals to the discerning chef with light-colored handles made of pakkawood, which once again emphasize the Japanese character of these unique knives. The Shun Classic White Santoku 18 cm is the perfect example of a well-balanced Japanese chef's knife. It features an 18 cm blade that has been hand-forged and delivers an enormous cutting performance. It is made from 32-layer Damascus steel, which encases the VG-Max cutting core. This ensures incredible edge retention despite its robustness.

This means that larger ingredients in particular can be prepared in a matter of seconds. The beautifully patterned blade of the KAI knife glides through a wide variety of foods like hot steel through butter. This makes cooking fun again!

And as the saying goes? As we all know, you eat with your eyes. That's why nothing was left to chance in the design of the Santoku knife. The contrast of the graceful damask pattern in combination with the light-colored handle made of selected pakkawood is only rounded off by the "KAI SHUN" logo. At KAI, tradition always has a future and so they always incorporate traditional stylistic features into their chef's knives.

But looks are not everything, of course. Professional chefs in particular, who sometimes spend the whole day preparing food, need to be able to rely on their tools. Comfortable handling and a good balance when cutting are essential. Fortunately, the symmetrically shaped, ergonomic handles of the Shun Classic knives offer just that!

Santoku, which means "three virtues", is known for its versatility and is used for fish, meat and vegetables alike. However, large types of fruit can also be easily processed with this knife.

Care tip: Kai Shun knives are not suitable for the dishwasher. The handle of the knife can occasionally be lubricated with a vegetable oil, such as linseed oil or coconut oil.
