Hydra Buzzard Test Report
The Hydra Buzzard - a small but fine companion for everyday use!
In my eyes, this good piece fuses the most important components between the ideal knife for EDC and some aspects from the tool category. For example, the bit holder has often been used in my hands, and the notch for operating the fire steel has been extensively tested several times and found to be good! The 1.4116 steel makes an excellent impression in this price segment and holds the edge very well and shines with its low-maintenance properties. The Kyro process used by Hydra does not seem to have missed its mark. The handle may look a little unusual, but it fits very well in the hand and can be guided cleanly. Coarse as well as fine work is no problem and the Sax-like blade design has been well implemented by the guys from Spain.
In my eyes, the brand has already proven itself many times and also delivers good work with other outdoor knives. Furthermore, I personally find that Hydra really stands out with some of their innovative accessory options, which is why I wouldn't want to miss the fire steel holder and the mounting for the bit, for example. Even the Teklock is a sophisticated thing for me, which successfully optimises the weaknesses of the competition.

Furthermore, the model shines with a very attractive scope of delivery.
Apart from the small hard case in which the knife is delivered, you get a hose scarf, two patches (yes, exactly, there is something cool for free) and a pair of stickers which round off the package. Furthermore, all models are tested by hand for their finish. That's why there is always a small piece of paper enclosed on which the typical papercut test has been carried out. This is virtually proof that your knife has been tested for a clean finish and is delivered razor-sharp.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for an uncompromising companion for EDC or a capable backup for the outdoor world, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Buzzard from Hydra! Super price/performance ratio.
Although the design suggests more tactical aspects, it passes all everyday tasks with flying colours.
The only shortcoming I would like to mention (personal preference) relates to the ring, which is too small for me personally, as in my case of glove size 10, the ring is no longer usable with gloves.
With bearded greetings
Your Butch
